"Give Us an 'A' Savings Bond Program
One of the principles of Indiana’s rural electric cooperatives is education. It is important for the youth of today to educate themselves to the issues and technologies that will carry them to the future, as they become tomorrow’s leaders.
In an effort to encourage academic achievement, Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC awards $50 and $100 EE United States Savings Bonds to students in our service territory who receive an ‘A’ in class work. Members of the co-op, a director or employee, or a dependent of a member, director, or employee who are enrolled in an accredited educational program — including K-12, college/university, and trade school — are eligible to enter the program.
The president of the Board of Directors will draw out four $50 winners and one $100 winner during a drawing held twice a year:
once for grades received in classes taken between January and June of each year, and
again for grades received in classes taken between July and December.
To enter the ‘Give Us an “A” Program’, please submit the following:
Student’s Name
Grade and School of Student
Copy of the report card
UDWI REMC Account Number
Name and Address on the electric account
