2009 Incentive Programs

Members determine marketing program

In 2008, UDWI joined with other Hoosier Energy cooperatives in taking an innovative approach to determine our marketing program for 2009 and beyond. We asked a representative number of members to help by sharing detailed information with us about how they use energy.

The information was used to determine what incentives we should provide to members to help them save money and energy. The results of that study, and others, have helped to shape our 2010 program.

Please note: All rebate requests must be received within 30 days of unit installation.

Incentive is contingent upon member agreement to have an energy management device installed on the equipment for a period of at least 6 months by a person or persons designated by the REMC.I

Members should send a completed incentive application form (available at the REMC) and a copy of the receipt to the REMC address listed. by the

UDWI helps members sign up for the Blue Flame Metered Propane Program. This program gives you the freedom of paying for your propane each month as you use it, rather than two or three times a year after tank fills.

The fee is $140.00 for the installation of the line (includes 20 ft. of piping—additional footage extra—tank, meter and the testing of the supply system). A $150 deposit may also be assessed based on credit history. There is an annual fee of $15.95, which will appear on the January account statement. Effective June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2010, the cost per gallon is $1.75.

Payment methods include cash, credit card, or check payable to UDWI. (Please note: checks must be cleared before proceeding with the work order.) Members' monthly propane bill will be provided by Blue Flame.
