Metered Propane Now Available
Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC is pleased to help its members sign up for metered propane service with Blue Flame Gas. Already, a significant portion of our membership base uses propane for space heating, water heating, cooking, drying clothes, and grain drying. To meet your future needs, UDWI will market Blue Flame Propane in order to offer our customers a guaranteed yearly price, and a monthly propane bill (versus paying up front for a tank fill-up). The benefits to you will be spreading your propane bills over time, monitoring your monthly usage, and avoiding price spikes by enjoying a guaranteed price per gallon.
To join the metered propane program, members need to:
1. Sign a straightforward one-page contract at the REMC.
2. Pay an installation fee of $140 to cover setting the tank, running the line up to the standard 20 feet, testing the system, and installing the meter.
3. Pay a deposit of $150 (may be waived based on payment history).
Effective June 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011, the cost per gallon is $2.04. Please call our office for more information.
