2010 Scholarship Program

The Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC supports its communities by promoting the education of our local students. One of the ways the cooperative promotes education is through the UDWI REMC Scholarship program. Five hundred dollar scholarships are awarded annually in each of the director districts to selected applicants. Applications are now available to graduating seniors whose parents or guardians are members of the REMC. Applications are available at the REMC office, at the local high schools, or can be downloaded from the icons below.

Applications must be submitted to the REMC office, along with grade transcripts, by June 15. Applications will then be reviewed and recipients selected by a scholarship committee. A special reception will be held at the REMC in the students' honor.

In July 2009, scholarship recipients and their families were invited to the REMC for the reception. After a warm welcome by Board President James Weimer, students were presented certificates. The guests visited with directors and employees, while enjoying light refreshments. A group photograph was taken as the evening concluded.
