UDWI REMC Director Scholarship Program

The Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC supports its communities by promoting the education of our local students. One of the ways the cooperative promotes education is through the UDWI REMC Scholarship program. Five hundred dollar scholarships are awarded annually in each of the director districts to selected applicants. Applicants must be graduating seniors whose parents or guardians are members of the REMC.

Applications must be submitted to the REMC office, along with grade transcripts, by June 15. Applications will then be reviewed and recipients selected by a scholarship committee.

In July of each year, scholarship recipients and their families are invited to the REMC for a scholarship reception. The students receive scholarship certificates and enjoy an evening of light refreshments and fellowship. A group photograph is taken for publication in Electric Consumer.

District 2 - Keith Milhoan, Eastern Greene High School

District 3 - Joshua Flick, Bedford North Lawrence

District 4 - Morgan Smiley, North Daviess High School

District 5 - No applications received

District 6 - No applications received

District 7 - Melissa Machado, Bloomington High School North

District 8 - Ariel Fuller, Bloomfield High School
