Your Cooperative-Over 70 Years of Growth and Service
UDWI REMC is a member of the Hoosier Energy Power Network and the 4th-largest electric co-op in southern Indiana, serving over 19,500 meters in Clay, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Owen, Putnam, Sullivan, and Vigo counties for more than 70 years. UDWI REMC rates are among the lowest in the state, lower than many investor-owned electric-utility companies doing business in the Midwest.
UDWI REMC is part owner of Hoosier Energy REC, Inc., a generation and transmission cooperative with headquarters in Bloomington. Hoosier Energy owns two generation plants: the 1,016-megawatt Merom Station in Sullivan County, and the 250-megawatt Ratts Station in Pike County. Hoosier Energy serves more than 200,000 consumers in 48 southern and central Indiana counties.
